HOW IT ALL STARTED...
JOINING FORCES
Mac & Field was founded by Tim van Wagensveld and Stacey Mac Donald back in late 2016. They met each other during separate assignments on the small island of St. Eustatius, Dutch Caribbean. While discussing each other's projects they noticed that there was a gap in collaboration and knowledge between ecological-and social science fields. This inspired them to join hands and do things differently than many existing environmental consultancies, and hence Mac & Field was born.
STACEY MAC DONALD
CO-FOUNDER
Stacey has a keen interest in the interactions between humans and the environment. Her focus lies on creating harmonious and healthy environments for all by guiding the environmental management process and facilitating the development, creation and execution of environmental policy- and management plans. Stacey has an MSc in Social and Organizational Psychology with a specialization in Environmental Psychology at the University of Leiden. Stacey finalized her Ph.D. in Environmental Psychology and Anthropology as of May 2022.
TIM VAN WAGENSVELD
CO-FOUNDER
Tim is an ecologist with an avid interest in biodiversity and building with nature. With a background in research, conservation and consulting, he enjoys many facets within the ecology business. He has worked on various ecological projects within the (Dutch) Caribbean region and the Netherlands. Tim received his BSc in biology at the Vrije University of Amsterdam, and obtained a MSc in ecology, specializing in animal adaptation and behavioral biology at the Wageningen University and Research Centre.
